VIoT CEO Speaks at Australia-Vietnam Alumni Business Forum 2025 – Fostering Innovation and a Sustainable Future

On June 5–6, 2025, Mr. Nguyen Bach Viet, Founder & CEO of VIoT Technology Group, was honored to participate as a keynote speaker at the Australia-Vietnam Alumni Business Forum 2025. Organized by the Australian Alumni Business Network, the event brought together over 150 business leaders, educators, and industry professionals from across Vietnam’s 100,000-strong Australian alumni community.

This is the first forum organized by the Australian Consulate General, within the framework of the event, there are prominent names in the Australian alumni community such as Mr. Le Hong Minh - Co-founder of VNG, Mr. Nguyen Ba Diep - Co-founder and Vice President of MoMo, and Dr. Nguyen Huu Le - President of TMA Solutions. These are all Australian alumni who have become famous and have made many important contributions to the startup - technology ecosystem in Vietnam.

In his presentation, Mr. Viet shared insights on VIoT’s journey in leading digital transformation through advanced telecom infrastructure, IoT platforms, and smart energy solutions. As a pioneer in integrating core technologies such as LoRaWAN, AIoT, smart surveillance, and digital energy management systems, Mr. Viet emphasized the critical need for cross-border innovation partnerships between Australia and Vietnam, especially amid accelerating green and digital transitions.

This year’s forum focused on four key sectors:

In 2023–2024, two-way trade between Australia and Vietnam reached AUD $28.2 billion, positioning Vietnam among Australia's top ten trading partners. Both governments are now aiming to double bilateral investment and expand trade collaborations in the coming years.

Australian Alumni Business Network

The Australian Alumni Business Network was created to unlock the collective potential of Australian-educated leaders in Vietnam. It serves as a dedicated platform for business executives, innovators, and emerging leaders to collaborate, exchange insights, and drive sustainable economic growth between the two nations.

Mr. Viet Nguyen’s participation not only expanded VIoT’s strategic partnerships but also reaffirmed its role as a leading innovator in Vietnam’s smart technology and sustainability ecosystem
