On the morning of May 31, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade (DOIT), in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), officially launched the 2023 Ho Chi Minh City Energy Efficiency Award (EEA).

At the ceremony, VIoT Technology Group was honored to showcase its solutions and products, and to be recognized as one of the three innovative enterprises selected in Round 3 of the Innovation Challenge Fund (ICF). The selection supports the pilot and demonstration of advanced energy and environmental solutions.

As part of this recognition, VIoT received a non-refundable grant from USAID to pilot its Lighting-as-a-Service (LaaS) model — an innovative approach that helps businesses reduce energy consumption and optimize operational costs through smart lighting subscription services.

According to the organizers, the Energy Efficiency Award is open to key energy-consuming facilities that have been operating for at least three years and comply with Vietnam’s legal regulations within the Ho Chi Minh City area.
The Award Ceremony for the Energy Efficiency Award 2023 is expected to take place in August 2023.
